CREATING THE PERFECT COUNTERTOP

1

GETTING STARTED

The first step in the process is to determine what material you wish to use as the base medium for your monument. Do you choose something durable and consistent, like man-made quartz? Are you looking for something more natural like polished granite? Or do you prefer something a bit more exotic, like soapstone? All of the above and more are available in multiple colors and patterns.

During this consultation phase, we will discuss your needs, requirements and preferences and our experts will help you come find the perfect solution.  Once you have made this important decision, we can move on to the next step.

3

TEMPLATING

Once you have approved the estimate and agreed on materials, Minneapolis Granite Interiors uses a digital templating system to produce an accurate, and near exact measurement of your kitchen. This is the point when we finalize details like which edge profile you prefer and you will make sink and faucet selection, which we will use to ensure the perfect finish.

2

RECEIVE AN ESTIMATE

If at this stage you aren’t sure what medium you wish to use, we can provide you with a range of options that will best fit your budget. You can supply us with a rough drawing or total square footage of your kitchen via e-mail, or you can bring this to our offices and we can make any necessary calculations there and then. Once you have chosen a particular type of stone, and we will give you an exact estimate based on the type, color and square footage you select.

4

FABRICATION

The final steps in the manufacturing process are to cut the stone slab into the shape of your countertop. These stone cutouts are then sent over to a computerize saw where, based on our digital measurements, cuts and smoothes out the stone, then adds the edge profiles cuts out any spaces needed for your chosen sink & faucet. The countertop is then taken from the cutting room and hand polished by our craftsmen.

5

INSTALLATION

Your countertop then passes from our craftsmen to our experienced installers. They will deliver the components to your home and carefully set and secure them in place. In instances where there are multiple elements resulting in seams, rest assured that our installers are among the best seamers in the business!

6

The whole process, from choosing color and material to a finished installation will take roughly 2 – 3 weeks. The result is a beautiful, durable and professionally crafted countertop. Our ultimate aim is to provide you with beautiful and practical kitchen surfaces of which you can be proud. We will ensure that you have every reason to be satisfied that you chose Minneapolis Granite.
